Milos Sejn: Relics of cave events from the 60s - 80s
Rocks, gutters, caves, abysses, sinkholes, ditches - these geological formations have long fascinated us, aroused amazement and fear. We admire the immense power with which nature shapes the landscape. In the face of huge cave systems or abysses, we feel our own smallness and finiteness. These silent witnesses of the ancient past are a constant source of scientific and spiritual knowledge. They are a museum and a temple. We can read in them as in books. In books, however, in which sheets are missing. Fortunately, we are constantly finding new and new sites. The cave is a metaphor for the interior, the mind, the subconscious, hidden memories, the mother's womb, they are a place of existential awareness and introspection, the insides of the earth, hell and eternal nothingness. In the ancient past, caves provided living creatures with temporary shelter. The bat, bear, lion, hyena, human and other animals found their permanent homes in the caves. For their unexplored, mysterious caves have been and still are a source of myths, cults, superstitions, wisdom. Man in the cave - cave in man.
