Homeplace & Kunka Phenomenon
Východočeská galerie Pardubice

The Homeplace (Rodna hrouda) exhibition reflects the current appearance of the mountain and the castle of the same name on the summit, tells personal stories and reflects legends associated with it and newly created. It represents the sensory homage to the symbol of the city (visual, sound and haptic). The selection of artists of different generations is partly based on an open call for artists from Pardubice, complemented by interesting supra-regional authors who approach the topic from the perspective of an explorer, a foreigner.
The second exhibition The Phenomenon Kuňka, which presents a selection of works from the gallery's collections, depicts the appearance of the castle and landscape around the Kunětická Mountain. The symbol of the city of Pardubice can be found in paintings in the spirit of romanticism and realistic paintings from the end of the 19th century, first-republic works and post-war works.
